ASPB 2009 Women's Young Investigator Travel Awardees

PLEASE NOTE that submission of an abstract as part of your application for a travel award does not submit your abstract for presentation at Plant Biology 2009. The deadline for submitting abstracts for poster presentations is April 24, 2009.

ASPB is pleased to announce the winners of the 2009 Women’s Young Investigator Travel Awards (WYITAs). The following individuals will each receive a $1,000 award to support their travel to Honolulu, HI to attend Plant Biology 2009.

Sona Pandey, Danforth Plant Science Center, USA
Chieko Saito, RIKEN, Japan
Telma Scarpeci, IBR-CONICET, Argentina

In addition to offering its congratulations to these winners, ASPB would also like to express its appreciation to the State of Hawaii, which made availble funds allowing ASPB to make a total of seven WYITAs. The Women in Plant Biology Committee has designated Drs. Guo and Saito as recipients of the two State of Hawaii-ASPB WYITA awards.
